Development of The Uplands at Ittatsoo Bay has elicited much excitement both in the Ucluelet community area and at The Uplands property itself. The developers want to share the news of these ongoing advances that are rapidly bringing The Uplands vision to fruition.

Uplands acquires addtional lands for creation of "Hunt Bay Park".
- May 17, 2007
Uplands files application for amended Boat Launch License of Occupation.
- May 25, 2007
Ministry of Transport approves Uplands road development plans.
- June 14, 2007 - Uplands road construction contract is awarded to Copcan Contracting Limited.
- June 17, 2007 - Road construction commences.
- June 2007 - Boat launch and Breakwater design by Tim O'Brien of Outlook Land Design Incorporated nears completion.
- June 30, 2007 - The Wild Pacific Group sponsors the Tofino Telegraph Trail Restoration Society Fundraiser Dance. An easement for the trail has been incorporated into The Uplands design for the trail which historically runs through the property. [information package]
- The construction of Hunt Bay Road, Uplands Place Road and Uplands Close Road have been substantially completed and are to be completed in their entirety on or before September 20, 2007.
- The Integrated Land Management Bureau of the British Columbia Government Ministry of Agriculture and Lands issued, effective September 15, 2007 a Licence of Occupation #112724 for the area encompassing the proposed construction of the boat launch and breakwater.
- On October 12, 2007, our neighbours, Toquaht First Nation and Ucluelet First Nation jointly submit a study to Aboriginal Reconciliation Minister DeJong from the consulting firm, InterVISTAS, in support of their request that B.C. construct a paved highway that would pass within less than one kilometre (see: InterVISTAS Figure 1.3) of the newly completed Uplands public road.
- On October 21, 2007 the Maa-nulth Treaty between Canada, British Columbia and our neighbours, Toquaht First Nation and Ucluelet First Nation is ratified by all participating First Nations. At the same time, B.C. Hydro confirms that, quite independently of the paved road recommended by InterVISTAS, hydro electric transmission lines will be installed along Barkley Main (to within only 1.7 km from the Uplands) commencing in the spring of 2009.
- On January 23, 2008 the Uplands Subdivision was registered in the Victoria Land Titles Office.
- On February 1, 2008 the sales of Lots 5 and 14 close.
- On February 4, 2008 the Ministry of Transport Approving Officer provided approval in principle for the development of a reduced density water access twelve lot Oceanfront (Phase 2) subdivision.
- On March 2, 2008 the Uplands Strata Corporation convened its inaugural meeting at which time, among other matters, it approved a revised 2008 Strata Corporation Budget reducing strata fees by 50% to $66.00 per month per lot.
- On March 31, 2009 B.C. Hydro granted approval in principle to the installation of hydro electricity along the full length of both Hunt Bay Road and Ittatsoo Bay Road.
